More Than Satisfied

The original oil painting by Kristen Rogers, "More Than Satisfied," symbolizes the miracle of The Feeding of The Five Thousand in the gospel of Matthew, and how Jesus wants to meet each of us in our own personal needs. The little girl represents childlike faith and our own personal relationship with Jesus. Jesus graciously looking at the face of the child depicts His love for every one of us. Jesus sees us and knows exactly what we are going through and wants to satisfy our physical need, as well as the desire of hearts. The overflowing basket of bread represents the verse, "They all ate and were satisfied, and they picked up the fragments left over--twelve wicker baskets full." Matthew 14:20. 

Jesus not only fed over 5,000 people with five loaves and two fish until they were satisfied, but they had enough left over to fill twelve baskets! When we look to Jesus, The Bread of Life, to meet our needs, we can expect to be blessed with not only enough to satisfy our needs but that He gives us more because He loves us so much.
